Hello Seventh Avenue Community!
Our students' positive demeanor during this unprecedented year has been remarkable! We are all continuing to smile under our masks and stay focused on learning and growing.
Our future is bright! We will continue to strive in this school that was first built in 1928 as a four-room school. Did you know that since then it's had many renovations to become the Seventh Avenue Elementary we have grown to love?
Myself and the Seventh Ave staff remind ourselves each day that our D105 Mission is to: Empower students to make a difference in our world by assisting them to be self-directed, passionate, lifelong learners.
We are all thankful to be in this wonderful school community where we are "Six Feet Apart but Together at Heart.”
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Seventh Avenue staff to support the D105 mission, "Empower students to make a differene in our world by assisting them to be self-directed, passionate, lifelong learners.". We also strive to help students reach their Hopes and Dreams by creating a school and classroom climate in which all students feel that they belong, are significant, and are challenged to meet their full potential.
Principal’s Message by Mrs. Hall
Thank you for taking the time to read more about Seventh Ave Elementary! Our building motto is to: Be Respectful, Be Safe, Be Here & Ready. I can’t stress how important it is to make sure your child is here by 8:25 am. We do open the doors a minute or two early so students can prepare for our Morning Assembly. This helps build our community as we share important news with the students and we have a little fun too.
MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) testing takes place each year. Arriving to school on time, eating a healthy breakfast, and getting a good night’s rest are just a couple of things you can do at home to help our students do their best on this test. Teachers will share your child’s math and reading scores with you during parent conferences. We use this data to make decisions about our instructional practices, set goals with students, and to celebrate our students’ achievement and overall growth. Below is a link that you might helpful in better understanding the MAP test.
